Belvedere House and Gardens
Belvedere House and Gardens is a country house located about 8km from Mullingar, County Westmeath on the north east shore of Lough Ennell.
The beautiful 160 acre estate boasts a fascinating Victorian Walled Garden, with one of Ireland’s best collections of rare and special plants, The Enchanted Glen and The Parklands with wooden trails through the ancient woods, including the Narnia trail.
The estate also has several follies including Ireland’s largest, The Jealous Wall, a monument to the dark deeds of the 1st Earl of Belvedere!
Belvedere House itself is a restored 18th century hunting and fishing lodge and the stable block is home to a modern visitors centre with a fully licensed café.
The estate also has two children’s play areas and also a zip line.
