Knockvicar Alpacas

A small, friendly alpaca farm specialising in fleece production while also offering immersive alpaca experiences and treks.

A family run business with 42 alpacas and growing. Farm visits are aimed towards families with young children where your host will share their knowledge of alpacas from why they keep them and what they do with their fleece, to their origins and the challenges and benefits that comes with keeping them.  Visitors can then feed the alpacas in their field.

Alpaca treks involve a walk along a scenic bog walk with the male alpacas on harnesses. You can stop along the way to feed them some treats and take some selfies.

Treks last 90 minutes and are for kids over 12 years of age leading their own alpaca while younger kids can accompany an adult.
