Muckross House

Muckross House , gardens and traditional farms are situated in Killarney National Park, Irelands oldest national park. The park also holds the world famous lakes of Killarney. This magnificent Victorian mansion is one of Irelands leading stately homes. The elegantly furnished remain much the same as they were when Queen Victoria visited in 1861.

A visit to the basement allows you to experience the working conditions of the servants employed by the house. There are also 3 separate working farms complete with animals and traditional machinery which help you take a step back in time to see how rural communities farmed in the 1930’s.
