Scattery Island Tours is a family run business owned and operated by a descendant of an island family. They are the only licensed operator to provide a ferry service to the island. With the ‘Scattery Island Visit’, discover the beauty of the island while walking the paths of saints and scholars with a one hour guided walking tour around the monastic sites. This tour allows you between two and two and a half hours on the island. The ‘Great Island Experience’ is for the more adventurous and those who enjoy exploring and walking, allowing additional time to fully explore the island and includes an additional audio tour of the southern side.

Scattery Island Tours can also tailor a tour for any group tours or private parties looking to visit the island. Ferries depart Kilrush Marina from May to September with multiple sailings daily. Their new catamaran ferry is licensed to carry up to 70 passengers and has 55 seats, It is also wheelchair accessible and can accommodate up to 10 wheelchairs per cruise. An on board cafe serves tea, coffee, water and snacks.

For something a little different, why not try their new Rib Adventures on the Shannon Estuary! This fantastic Cliff and Coast Safari tour departs from Kilrush Marina and explores the Shannon Estuary and Kerry coastline, showcasing its islands and cliff coats, wildlife, and dolphins.
