The Brehon Hotel & Spa

At The Brehon, hospitality isn’t just a tradition – it’s a way of life, deeply rooted in their heritage.

Ideally located in Killarney, county Kerry, this award winning 4 star hotel was named after the ancient Brehon Laws that governed Erin centuries ago, and it embodies the spirit of generosity and warmth that has endured through the ages.

The stunning hotel was designed with respect for the area’s heritage, while creating a new hospitality offering in beautiful Killarney, drawing inspiration from the area’s stunning natural landscape and history, as well as from the town’s age old tradition of welcoming visitors. The classical detailing of Killarney’s stately home, Muckross House, inspired the hotel’s exterior while inside, the dappled light and rich green hues of Killarney’s ancient oak forests influenced the decor.

The Brehon and Anú Spa’s luxurious accommodation is designed with their guests every requirement in mind. Their boutique style rooms vary in layout and design and guests can choose from deluxe bedrooms, superior bedrooms, executive and superior suites, as well as family suites.

Also available are their latest Heritage Bedroom Collection rooms which feature interiors that reflect the palate of Killarney’s stunning National Park. Also available to book are the off-site self catering Flesk River Apartments, located directly behind the hotel. As a spa hotel, all guests receive complimentary relaxation time in The Vitality Suite of the Anú Spa, plus complimentary access to their Techno Gym.

Danú Restaurant has been described as “the best place to eat in Killarney”. The menus are thoughtfully crafted to showcase the finest local and seasonal ingredients. From elegant starters to indulgent mains and desserts, each bite reflects their partnership with Ireland’s leading food producers. The Brehon Bar is relaxed and atmospheric, and a favourite among locals and visitors alike. It is spacious yet surprisingly intimate and subtly transforms from a bright and airy daytime space to a lively nighttime bar. It is the perfect spot for a leisurely lunch, afternoon bite, or relaxed dinner, with food served daily from 12.30pm until 9pm. Guests can expect a food experience above and beyond the traditional bar food, with many of their dishes  taking inspiration from Danú’s delectable delights.

The Brehon welcomed its first guests in 2004, and since then, they have evolved by listening to and learning from their customers. Their core belief at The Brehon is that it is not enough for their hotel to be located in one of the most beautiful places on earth, it must be worthy of its surroundings. This was their intention, and now, it’s their reality.
